Photography and recording are generally permitted at BSides Hampton Roads; however, we ask all attendees to be respectful of speakers, participants, and the community environment.
- Consent first: Do not photograph or record individuals without their clear permission. This includes attendees, speakers, and volunteers.
- Talk restrictions: Some sessions may be designated as “no recording” at the speaker’s request. These rules must be strictly followed.
- Privacy matters: Avoid capturing sensitive materials, screens, badges, or anything that could expose personal or organizational information.
- Professional use: Any use of photos or recordings for media, commercial, or promotional purposes requires prior approval from event organizers.
- Respect requests: If someone asks not to be photographed, their preference must be honored.
